Antique Work Bench, Drafting Table or Lectern Podium Desk

This handsome antique Americana desk can be used as a work bench, drafting table or lectern podium desk. It's ideal for those who occasionally prefer to work standing or just at a higher level. What I really like about working at this desk is that it has a really nice wide surface, so you can spread out your papers or your laptop and papers. The dimension are: 37” W x 30”D x 45”H. The only reason that I’m selling it is that I live in a condo and now need this space for a guest bed.

It’s made of solid hard wood [I believe it's pine]. The main writing surface lifts up to reveal a large interior storage area perfect for holding numerous books and sets of documents as well as anything you might need while working or giving a lecture.

It’s sturdy and in excellent shape, except for the top of one of the legs, which has been repaired by its previous owner with glue and a wood screw -- see photo. This repair does not affect its sturdiness; it stands rock solid and does not wiggle at all.
