We operate 36 stores in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest, and we are currently seeking a talented Allocation Analyst to join our team in our corporate office in Burlington, Massachusetts. Here are some details: Responsibilities: · Responsible for the allocation of merchandise in assigned departments for entire chain. · Challenges inventories based on weeks of supply, sales trends and history. · Ensures that all ad merchandise is allocated in a proper and timely manner. · Fulfill open to ship needs to achieve designated inventory plans. · Completion of assortment sheets to ensure stores receive the correct mix of merchandise. · Communicates with Buyer regarding inventory levels to ensure the best assortments are allocated. · Troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues within stores. · Participates in weekly strategy meetings with Buyers and Planning Managers to review business and resolve any issues. · Responsible for development & maintenance of store plans for assigned classes and departments. Requirements: · 6-12 months prior Allocation Analyst experience in a retail environment · Strong analytical and decision making skills · Excellent organizational abilities and PC skills · Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners as well as external vendors · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Team player who can work effectively in a fast paced environment · Excellent problem solving skills · MMS and JDA system knowledge a plus Filene's Basement offers competitive wages and benefits, including a 30% Associate discount valid at Filene's Basement and DSW, and excellent career growth opportunities.
