These are also referred to as “slide banks,” as they keep your precious images locked away in a fire resistant cabinet.

The cabinet has 37 slide out racks, which position the slides for easy sorting and viewing. This is so much more convenient than trying to find particular images in a drawer type storage unit.

The 2 foot square light box is mounted on heavy duty rails and rolls out to provide a bright viewing background.
The light box can be removed and used flat on a desktop, but I assure you that it’s a lot more comfortable viewing hundreds of slides in an upright position; rather than leaning over a large horizontal light box.

There is also a deep drawer for storage of loupes, brushes, pens markers etc..

1. Holds 3,330 mounted slides: 90 per slide-out rack, X 37 racks
2. Height 28 inches, width (with light box) 21.5 inches, depth 30 inches. I can only guess at the total weight, which I figure would be about 70 lbs. It disassembles for easy moving.

There are some marks on the outside paint finish, and it could do with a light cleaning, but everything functions as it should. If you have a lot of transparencies to sort and edit, this is an invaluable tool.

NB Only the top cabinet containing the slide racks and light box are for sale. The bottom cabinet is not included. I would prefer not to have to ship this unit.
