German Shepherd Dog - Extra Large - Adult - Male - Dog - Liam

Liam is an 8-year young, German Shepherd mix. He was a stray on the N. Shore of Boston, and after a month at the animal shelter, found his way to a foster family at Underdog ResQ. This big, lovable teddy bear is doing wonderfully in his foster home after only 2 weeks! Hes great with people, other dogs - both large and small, male and female hes even great with the cats! No one is afraid of this gentle giant! Liams foster parents have 2 other dogs, a male and female, and Liam gets along just fine with them. His foster parents also pet sit, and Liam has been great with all the dogs, regardless of sex, age or size. Dont let Liams size fool you while he does need to lose some weight (were working on this through exercise and diet because he weighed in at 106 pounds when admitted), he loves to play with other dogs and go for long walks. Liam thinks he is a lap dog and loves to come onto the sofa if you invite him and lay his head on your lap and snuggle. He loves belly rubs and is enjoying crunching on carrots instead of higher calorie dog treats. Liam obviously was not abused or neglected, because he is very friendly, loving, and trusting. He has nice clean, white teeth and a soft, shiny coat. He is very healthy. If youre looking for an easy dog who is gentle, sweet, and gives kisses, this is the guy for you! He is completely housebroken so he hasn't needed a crate to be trained. He hasn't met any kids in our care yet but we think he'd be great with older kids.
