American Bulldog - Medium - Young - Male - Dog - Boy George -COU
Description
A rescuer got a call that a bulldog was in a yard in the area and when she and others went to rescue him, his flesh wounds were so bad they had great difficulty picking him up - he would scream every time someone would touch him. He had been hit by a car and the wounds were road burn. Boy George was taken to a local vet where they had to knock him out to debride the wounds and keep him on pain medication. In the process of treating him, they discovered that he was deaf. Fortunately, no broken bones or internal injuries. Boy George is doing GREAT and his wounds are healing so well. Two of the rescuers go visit him weekly and take him corn dogs. @:) He overnighted at one of the rescuer's houses the night he was rescued and wouldn't eat at all - she tried different kinds of dog food, treats, etc., - she finally offered him a corn dog and he ate it. So, now we visit him and he comes wagging out, ready for his two corn dogs and some loving! We named him Boy George because of the "eye liner" around his eyes. He is one of the most loving and playful dogs we have rescued and is totally non-aggressive. He will make someone a wonderful and loving companion. Boy George is HEARTWORM NEGATIVE, neutered and up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations. He is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Boy George's adoption fee is $425.
