UPDATE 8/9: Flippen is being fostered in Allston, MA. Please apply for him now! This polka dotted handsome boy is Flippen. His siblings (Cinnamon, Yancy, Denny and Pepper) were previously posted on our site and have all been adopted. All of their new families absolutely adore them and feel they have made excellent additions to the family. He is a great boy who is ~6 months old and weighs ~42 lbs. Momma is a boxer/pointer mix and daddy was likely a lab, because several of his siblings look labbie. Whatever mix he is, he is quite sweet and the most playful of the litter. He is fine with other dogs and has normal curiosity around cats. Since he has been in foster care in New England, we have learned that he is somewhat afraid of new people, espec.men. He might be best off in a home with women or in a home where the man in the family can be very patient with him. He will likely take some time to be relaxed around men. We at the rescue can give some coaching in this regard, but he will need time. With women, he is generally very comfortable. A home without children would be preferable for him as well. His adoption fee is $200. Please complete an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
